Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Arcane Pathways LLC, doing business as Arcane Credit ("Arcane Credit," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of: (i) our websites, including arcanecredit.com, and any related pages where these Terms are posted (the "Site"), and (ii) our products and services, including any credit-building features we offer (the "Services").
By accessing or using the Site or Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.
1. Who May Use the Site and Services
You may use the Site and Services only if you can legally form a binding agreement with us. The Site and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to individuals under 18.
2. What Arcane Credit Does
Arcane Credit provides financial technology services designed to help users build credit. Certain Services may involve identifying and/or reporting eligible recurring payments (for example, housing-related payments, utilities, telecommunications, or subscription-type payments) to one or more consumer reporting agencies ("CRAs"), based on the features you choose and the authorizations you provide.
Key definitions used in these Terms
- "Payment Obligation" means a recurring payment that you are personally responsible for and that you ask us to process or report in connection with the Services.
- "Data Source" means the account or system you choose as the source of information about a Payment Obligation, such as a payment portal account or a deposit account (bank account) you connect through a third-party provider.
Important notes:
- We may not support every Data Source.
- CRAs decide whether and how to display information in a consumer file. We do not control CRA decisions or scoring models.
- Arcane Credit is not a credit repair organization, and we do not promise any specific change to a credit file or credit score.
3. Your Account, Your Information
Some parts of the Services may require you to create an account or provide information. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for safeguarding your login credentials.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your account is being used in a way that is unauthorized, fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Site;
- attempt to access non-public areas or systems without authorization;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- scrape, harvest, or misuse the Site or any data made available through it; or
- submit false or misleading information.
5. Communications and Notices
We may contact you about your account, the Services, or administrative matters (for example, service messages, security updates, or support communications). If you separately agree to a Consent to Contact (for example, during enrollment), that consent may allow additional communications methods, including text messages or calls, as described in that consent.
6. Third-Party Providers and Data Connections
Some Service features require us to work with third parties (for example, identity verification providers, data processors, cloud providers, analytics tools, or account connectivity providers). If you choose to connect a financial account or other Data Source, the connection may be facilitated by a third-party intermediary. Those third parties may have their own terms, privacy practices, and permissions.
You understand that:
- information may be provided to us by third parties based on what you authorize; and
- third-party systems can contain errors or delays, and we may not be able to guarantee the completeness or accuracy of information received from them.
7. Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention
We utilize Plaid's Identity Verification (Data Source U.S), Plaid Identity, and Plaid Auth as part of our identity verification and authentication controls to deter fraudulent activity and identity theft. In addition, to mitigate the risk of fraud and unauthorized access following initial onboarding, we maintain a layered set of ongoing safeguards, including continuous biometric authentication, backend abuse-prevention and rate-limiting measures, and transaction monitoring.
8. Cancellation and Refund Policy
8.1 All Sales Final
All purchases—including Monthly memberships, Annual memberships, and one-time Boost fees—are final and non-refundable. By authorizing any payment, you consent to the immediate performance of services and acknowledge that costs (data verification, bank connectivity, secure storage) are incurred immediately upon your request. We do not offer prorated refunds. If you cancel a subscription, access continues through the end of the current billing cycle, but no portion of the fee will be returned.
8.2 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel automatic renewal at any time via Membership Settings in the mobile app. Cancellation prevents future charges only and does not generate a refund for the current or any prior billing period. You are solely responsible for cancelling before the next renewal date.
9. Nature of Service
Not a Credit Repair Organization. We report eligible payments to consumer reporting agencies. We do not remove or dispute negative credit history.
Not a Lender. Arcane Credit does not extend credit or provide lending services.
Banking Partner. The BuildCredit Account is serviced by BuildCredit, LLC, a third-party financial technology company. Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, issues the account and holds all deposit funds.
No Guaranteed Results. Arcane Credit does not guarantee any improvement in your credit score. Credit score changes depend on multiple factors. Failure to make minimum payments by the due date may result in delinquent reporting, which could negatively affect your score.
10. Payment Reporting Features
If you enable a Service that involves reporting Payment Obligations, you authorize us to collect, analyze, and furnish information about those Payment Obligations to one or more CRAs, in accordance with the authorizations you provide and applicable law.
Verification and eligibility
To help ensure reporting is accurate and consistent with CRA requirements, we may review or validate the Data Source and relevant payment information using reasonable procedures. The steps we take may vary depending on the Data Source, the type of Payment Obligation, and CRA rules.
Your representations
When you request reporting, you represent that:
- the Payment Obligation belongs to you (or you are otherwise legally responsible for it);
- the information you provide to us is accurate; and
- you are not asking us to report the same Payment Obligation to the same CRA if it is already being reported by another party (unless the CRA allows it).
Reporting timing and limitations
CRAs may limit:
- which Payment Obligations can be accepted,
- how many tradelines can be reported, and
- when reporting may begin.
If immediate reporting is not permitted, we may retain relevant information until reporting can occur, consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Revoking reporting authorization
If you revoke authorization for a reporting feature, we will stop future reporting for that Payment Obligation going forward. Previously reported information may remain in your consumer file until the CRA updates or removes it under its policies and applicable law.
No control over CRA processing
CRAs may modify, suppress, remove, or otherwise change how they display reported information. We are not responsible for CRA decisions or for errors caused by a CRA's systems, processes, or omissions.
Issues or questions
If you believe a Payment Obligation was not processed or reported as you requested, contact us at support@arcanecredit.com.
Access through a partner or bundled offering
If you receive Services through a partner program (for example, through a financial institution, property manager, employer, or benefit program), your continued access may depend on your relationship with that partner. If that relationship ends, your access to the bundled Service may also end, and reporting may stop going forward.
11. Consumer Report / Credit Insights Features (If Offered)
Some features may allow you to authorize Arcane Credit (and/or its partners) to obtain consumer report information from one or more CRAs in connection with the Services—such as to provide educational insights, show information made available by a CRA, or help you understand how certain information may affect your credit profile.
- Any scores or credit insights displayed (if available) are for educational and personal use only.
- Lenders and others may use different data and scoring models.
- We do not guarantee the availability of a consumer report or score from any CRA.
- You can obtain free copies of your consumer file directly from CRAs through annualcreditreport.com (per CRA rules and applicable law).
12. Fees
Some Services may be offered at no cost, while others may require payment. If a fee applies, we will disclose the fee and billing terms at the time you enroll in that feature or purchase the Service.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy is available on the Site.
14. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Site, Services, and all related content (including text, graphics, logos, designs, and software) are owned by or licensed to Arcane Credit and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted in writing.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and Services are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not make warranties of any kind—express, implied, or statutory—including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not promise that the Site or Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arcane Credit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Arcane Credit and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (i) your use of the Site or Services, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any law or third-party right.
18. Changes to the Site or These Terms
We may update the Site, Services, and these Terms from time to time. If we post revised Terms, your continued use of the Site or Services after the effective date of the revised Terms means you accept the updated Terms.
We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Site or Services at any time, subject to applicable law.
19. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Nevada without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Unless a different dispute process is required by applicable law or a separate written agreement, you agree that disputes will be brought in the state of Nevada or federal courts located in that same state, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
20. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver: A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Entire agreement: These Terms, plus any documents incorporated by reference (including the Privacy Policy and any consents you sign), form the entire agreement about the Site/Services.

You represent and agree that:
- Each recurring bill you select is in your name, and all reported payments were made by you; and
- You are not reporting the same bills to any Credit Bureau through another service.
